Orthodontist Dr. Lauren Lewandowski

Dr. Lauren Lewandowski grew up in Queens, New York, alongside her parents and younger brother. Her early years helped shape the dedication, discipline, and curiosity that would eventually guide her into a career in orthodontics and patient care in the Pacific Northwest.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Binghamton University, where she majored in Biological Anthropology and completed a certificate in Evolutionary Studies. During this time, she explored her interest in forensic science while building a strong academic foundation in preparation for dental school. She was also actively involved on campus, swimming with the club swim team and serving as a resident assistant for three years.

Dr. Lewandowski went on to attend the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she demonstrated both clinical commitment and leadership. She helped launch the school’s first wellness initiative, led a volunteer outreach organization, and co-edited and designed the student newsletter, highlighting her dedication to supporting both peers and the wider community.

Her interest in orthodontics began as early as ninth grade. Although she originally dreamed of performing on Broadway, her path shifted after being inspired by her own orthodontist. She recalls admiring the professionalism, confidence, and compassionate care she witnessed. After shadowing in the field, she knew orthodontics was the right fit.

Dr. Lewandowski completed her orthodontic specialty training at the University of Washington’s orthodontic program. Today, she is passionate about creating healthy, confident, and “show-stopping” smiles for her patients.

She is experienced in treating patients of all ages, including individuals with special needs, and she is comfortable managing complex orthodontic cases that require collaboration with other dental professionals to restore proper bite function and aesthetics.

Out of the office, Dr. Lewandowski enjoys improving her sourdough baking skills, caring for her many plants, and staying connected with family and friends through video chats. She also has a fluffy puppy named Bagel.

Her favorite leisure activities include exploring new restaurants and food trucks, attending musicals and plays, traveling, hiking, and spending time with friends. She even counts grocery shopping at Trader Joe’s among her favorite pastimes.

I am thrilled to be part of a profession I dreamed about for over a decade. I always look forward to serving my patients and being a positive presence in their lives and our community.
